The network card tells me it is working properly yet it states that the ethernet cable is unplugged. I have tried reseting WINSOCK and TCP/IP stack too. I have tried a system restore to when my PC was working but it didn't change anything either. ![]() If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version. The internet is not the problem as I am connected to it just fine right now on my laptop. The package provides the installation files for Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller LAN Driver version 10.39.212.2020. There is no lights at the ethernet port on my computer either. I have tried reinstalling, uninstalling, disabling and enabling the driver for my network card. It is the same network cable that I used at home, it works with my laptop just fine too and to be sure I tried another ethernet cable. This situation arose before I moved my PC but the problem seemed to disappear on it's own accord without seemingly anything done on my part.īrought my PC to college and now it's stating a network cable is unplugged. I hope someone has a new idea as I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel. I have already googled this problem extensively, I am aware similar questions have been asked here before also and I have tried all these solutions to no avail.
